ALL-TERRAIN STROLLERS

SAFETY TIPS
desperately seeking durability

Whether you use your all-terrain for off-road adventures only or hit the malls with aggression, this is one of those items that should be durable over time. As a general rule, the all-terrain class of stroller is designed to handle more than the standard baby stroller and typically is designed with more solid components and materials. This doesn't mean that you should take your all-terrain stroller on 10k runs or for a quick sprint through a quarry full of nails and glass, as misusing any all-terrain stroller is the surest way to cause a breakdown. Even the most hard-core all-terrain stroller has its limits-which generally mean staying on the semi-beaten park path and gravel roads. The second way to destroy any stroller is to mistreat it when it's collapsed by tossing it heedlessly into wherever it is you store it and/or throwing heavy objects on top of it.

Eliminating the potentially flimsy models from your search:

  1. No manufacturer's warranty? Don't buy it.
  2. Loose pieces? Wobbly parts? Don't buy it.
  3. Any repeat reports of breakdown? Don't buy it.
  4. Most anything under $50 is going to last about a year maximum.

Admittedly, you can't resolve all of these issues by simply reading the manufacturer's description, but here at baby-gaga we report even the tiniest failure of stroller integrity.
