Bugaboo Cameleon

COMFORT TOTAL GRADE: A

seating
positive reviews
A

The Cameleon offers additionally plushness and a larger seating space (over the Frog and Gecko) for your little one. Of crouse the Cameleon reclines fully for infants as well as providing you with your own bassinet for your newborns! A trick used by the people at Bugaboo on the Cameleon: sell the snuggly-anti-pilling fleece seat & bassinet covers (6 colors) separate from the actual chassis (three base colors), which inevitably raises the base price by $100! Still, parents had nothing but good thing to say about the convenience and comfort afforded by the seating material and design.

One further improvement over the Frog model: the bassinet mattress is now made from an Aerosleep mattress, which parents have unanimously given full thumbs up for overall comfort (anti-sweat, anti-allergen material).

Another Cameleon improvement over the Frog is the variability of the height-adjustable handles (6 inches) and the easy-to-adjust pram-to-forward-facing stroller mechanism. Although parentd report being able to easily adjust the Cameleon's seating direction by merely switching the handle, it is still easier to also adjust the seating as the wheels are likely be oriented in the wrong direction (with the bigger set in front). Again, parents weren't complaining whatsoever, and loved the easy manuevering and smoothness of the ride offered by the Cameleon.

smoothness of ride
positive reviews
A+

If it were possible to give an A++, this is where it would go. The Cameleon stroller, much like its Frog predescesor, sports fantastic suspension (actually improved upon from the Frog-- with open-coil suspension that can be adjusted. And if parental raves are an accurate indication, the Cameleon is definitely one of the smoothest stroller rides on the market right now.

weather protection
positive reviews
A

With less than a year on the American market, we're still yet to get any negative reviews about the weather protection offered on the Bugaboo Cameleon, but this isn't a huge surprise as it comes with a zip-up winter boot, a large canopy that seems to be providing more sun protection than the Frog, mosquito control, and a rain-cover. Additional accessories such as the parasol can be purchased seperately for any parent who isn't satisfied with the included weather protection-- but apparently, there aren't any parents that aren't satisfied...yet!
