CHILD SAFETY TOTAL GRADE: A-
harness system
positive reviewsA-
The new Tuscany's are great, with a five-converts-to-three point harness system that most parents find more than secure enough and easy-to-use clasps. The first wave of Tuscany strollers released received a few complaints about the clasps pinching fingers when the straps were being fastened. But if you buy a new Tuscany, they've upgraded and the clasps aren't "hurty" anymore.

positive reviewsA+
Nothing but good news: the Chicco Tuscany's large dual swivel wheels are great for steering through the narrowest of little shop aisles. And for the long straight stretches, the front wheels lock in place. Parents were unanimously appreciative of how easily the Tuscany handled corners and bumps as well as the large easy-to-use brakes. It's so easy to steer that some parents reported that big brother or sister (starting at the age of three!) were easily able to push the Tuscany around safely.
sturdiness
positive reviewsB+
Although a vast majority of reviewers (97.5%) were nothing but positive about the overall durability and sturdy feel of the Chicco Tuscany, there were a small but notable number of parents who experienced breakdowns. Two parents had the recline mechanism break, one reported a broken harness clasp (older model), and one report of your run-of-the-mill squeaky wheels three months after purchase.
