As an umbrella stroller, the Tuscany just makes it into the lightweight category at 15 lbs. That said, plenty of parents still felt the Chicco Tuscany was wonderfully lightweight as they had recently transitioned from some massive boat of a travel system.

A common mantra amongst Tuscany owners: "folding it is so easy, once you get the hang of it." Other than the learning curve on the folding mechanism, parents were unanimously appreciative of the easy one-handed fold and the nice neat compact shape that resulted when the Tuscany was folded down.

We're talking about not just stain-resistant material, but soft, water resistant material. More than a few bacteria-minded parents mentioned the joy with which they were able to remove every trace of baby spillage with the greatest of ease.

It's an umbrella stroller, so the fact of underseat storage is relatively impressive, because so many of the lower price stroller forego this option to maintain their lightweight, compact, and easy-to-fold appearance. There is room in the Tuscany's underseat storage basket for a small bag, but you won't be able to access it if the seat is reclined-- a big complaint amongst most of the parents, many of whom just end up slinging their diaper bags across the handles for easier access. Also, there is a little mesh basket on the hood for parents to keep a closed drink or whatnot close at hand.
