SAFETY TIPS
desperately seeking durability
Whether you use your double all-terrain for off-road adventures only or hit the malls at a chronic level, it should obviously be durable over time. As a general rule, all-terrain double strollers are sturdier than their standard double stroller counterparts as they are designed to handle more rugged surfaces. This doesn't mean that you should take your all-terrain double stroller on 10k runs or for a quick sprint through a quarry full of nails and glass, as misusing any all-terrain stroller is the surest way to cause a breakdown. Remember: even the most hard-core all-terrain double stroller is still designed to carry your babies. The second surest way to destroy your double all-terrain stroller is toss it heedlessly into wherever it is you store it and/or throwing heavy objects on top of it.
Eliminating the potentially flimsy models from your search:
- No manufacturer's warranty? Don't buy it.
- Loose pieces? Wobbly parts? Don't buy it.
- Any repeat reports of breakdown? Don't buy it.
- Most anything under $50 is going to last about a year maximum.
Admittedly, you can't resolve all of these issues by simply reading the manufacturer's description, but here at baby-gaga we report even the tiniest failure of stroller integrity.
