BASIC FEATURES
basic features for the parent
My achy breaky back: For many parents there is the risk that the all-terrain stroller they purchase will end up giving them lower back pains as a result of extended hunching over the handles-make sure the height of the handle(s) allow you to walk with a straight spine. Those parents with a longer stride may also end up kicking the stroller frame. Most all-terrain strollers tend to be designed with less "kickable" frames and height adjustable handles, but for the tall parents out there: make sure you can walk comfortably without hunching or kicking when pushing the stroller.
Everything but the kitchen sink: When it comes to all-terrain double strollers you should expect a good-sized under-seat basket that can carry a standard-sized diaper bag and hopefully a place for your keys and cell phone near the handle bar(s). Also, try to find a model that allows access to the under seat basket even when the seat is reclined.
The shiny happy stroller pusher checklist:
- Look for good storage space
- Uncomfortable handles for your wrists & hands: Don't buy it!
- You're hunched over the stroller: Don't buy it!
- The stroller frame intrudes on your natural stride: Don't buy it!
