DOUBLE UMBRELLA STROLLERS

WHEN YOU BUY
the real deal

The only real way to save money on any stroller is to know what sort of stroller you want in the first place. If you decide on a particular model, you can easily search all the avenues available to the savvy bargain hunter and with a little time and patience, save yourself a nice bit of cash.

The bad new first: if you find your double umbrella stroller on the manufacturer's website, it's fairly likely you won't find any huge bargains on a new model (no matter where you look) as manufacturers tend to determine the lowest list price of their current models, regardless of their many distributors-unless last year's model is being closed out of their inventory.

The good news is that you can check out the alternatives (even if your stroller is the newest of the new) and get a good idea of whether the umbrella stroller you're interested in is grossly overpriced and potentially find a good one being sold second hand. Check out eBAY, Craigslist, the local online classifieds, and of course garage sales and flea markets offer you some more challenging second hand shopping potential. Although the JPMA would tell you to never buy a stroller second hand for safety-related issues, we can't (with any conviction) tell you not to try and save money. What we will say is that you should (if possible) test out any stroller (new or used) before you purchase it.
