Eddie Bauer Aluminum Travel System

CHILD SAFETY TOTAL GRADE: B-

harness system
positive reviews
B-

The five point harness system on the Eddie Bauer Aluminum Travel System was appreciated by some parents as an effective method for keeping their child safely in their seat, although some found it rather annoying to fasten and others felt that the straps were difficult to adjust or just plain flimsly. Also, the carrier seat harness straps are reported to easily twist out of shape.

maneuvering
positive reviews
B-

Most parents felt that the Eddie Bauer Aluminum Travel System maneuvered quite easily--turning on a dime, although there were three reports of spontaneous wheel-locking, and a few felt that the brake design appeared rather cheap. Also, the stroller reportedly becomes much more unwieldy and even top heavy with heavier children (who were still under the 35 pound limit) sitting in the carrier.

sturdiness
positive reviews
C+

Although a number of parents felt that the overall design of the Eddie Bauer Aluminum Travel System was quite sturdy and durable, there were reports of the following: squeaking wheels (frequent), the child tray broke (one reviewer), and a flimsy canopy on both the car seat and stroller(frequent).
