Inglesina Twin Swift

COMFORT TOTAL GRADE: A-

seating

With four recline positions (on the new models) from nearly upright to nearly flat, parents were very pleased with the easy reclining mechanism as well as the comfort afforded their little ones when seated in the Twin Swift double stroller. Indeed, several mothers noted that the lowest recline position would be suitable for infants, although technically, this stroller is designed to seat children six months or older.

In terms of comfort, one parent felt that her sons looked uncomfortable in their seats. On the other hand, another mother noted that her six year old daughter frequently sat in the Swift when tired without any discomfort. The main complaint against the seating: no kid's tray, although one dad actually liked the independence it afforded his sons-- he would simply strap them in when he wanted them to stay put.

Parent's raved about the tall ergonomically styled handle bars on the Twin Swift, with nary a complaint about back-aches or inhibited stride from even the tallest of dads. But the one lesson all stroller companies should learn: if half of the strollers on the market have cup-holders, everyone's going to want one on their stroller. Moms and dads both complained about the lack of a cup-holder or parent console on the Twin Swift.

smoothness of ride
positive reviews
A

Of course the Twin Swift is not an all-terrain stroller, but it handles the challenges it was designed to handle with grace and style. The wheels are large and "treaded" although they're plastic-- and clearly not made to handle too much more than the beaten path. Even so, many parents positively commented on how smooth this double stroller handled when being steered around on whatever sorts of pavement, curbs, and even off-road!

weather protection
positive reviews
B+

The two over-sized canopies received unanimously positive reviews for the sun protection they offered their little passengers. Parents also appreciated the peekaboo windows, which allow them to monitor their children--even when the seat is fully reclined. The main complaints against the canopies: they don't fold down, and also (as mentioned above) one parent experienced a dysfunction wherein the canopies would pop off whenever the seats were being reclined.
