SAFETY TIPS
make it maneuverable!
In terms of steering, jogging strollers are designed with two pneumatic (air-filled) back wheels and either one or two front wheels that are as big as or slightly smaller than the back wheels. For the best jogging conditions look for fixed wheels front and back, a runaway tether, and a hand brake. The jogging stroller concept was created by parents who wanted to keep up their running habits despite having a baby. Consequently, the good jogger strollers are designed to impede as little as possible on your natural running form. Keep in mind that the straight tracking wheels will make running straight easy but require you to "pop a wheelie" to make tight corners.
Jogging stroller maneuverability comes from having:
- solid suspension
- a runaway tether and hand brake
- an ergonomically designed handle for-one handed steering
- front and back wheels that track perfectly straight
- a frame that can handle weight shifts without swerving or veering
