Parent's generally appreciated the comfortably padded adjustable five-point harness, which easily transformed into a three point system for more freedom of movement when desired. Unfortunately, there were a small but notable number of parents who felt that the Techno's harness straps was not designed to safely hold infants as the straps were apparantly too high to comfortably accodmodate their children.

The majority of parents had nothing but raves about the easy, smooth handling of this stroller, one-handed steering, small turning radius, reflective arrows on the seat for increased safety in the city, and the capacity to take it through grass and on unpaved roads with little or no discomfort to their child. Although brakes are installed on both front and rear wheels, one parent had both brakes fail within the first few weeks after purchasing.

A majority of parents raved about the sturdy yet lightweight feel of the brush aluminum frame of this stroller, and were certain that the stroller would last through more than one child. The 2004 model of the Techno XT has a small number (5%) of parents complaining about the brakes locking up and not properly disengaging afterwards. For the 2003 models (no longer sold in stores) a small but notable percentage of parents complained of one or both of the front wheels breaking off within the first few weeks of purchasing, some of who experienced difficulty having Maclaren honoring their one year warranty. Apparently, the strollers that broke down were built using front wheel brackets made of inferior plastic components assembled in a Chinese factory.
