Maclaren Techno

COMFORT TOTAL GRADE: A-

With four recline positions (including a full recline), a seat extender, and a comfy fleece boot available (sold seperately for the XT-- comes with the Classic) for infants, this aspect of the stroller’s design received rave reviews from virtually every parent, except one who experienced a problem with locking the seat into position when changing recline angles. Additionally, the stroller recline requires two hands to adjust the stroller’s seat position.

driver comfort
positive reviews
A+

With adjustable ergonomically shaped handles covered in thick foam padding, the Techno is, along with all Maclaren strollers, quite simply, the most comfortable strollers for tall parents to push.

smoothness of ride
positive reviews
A-

As a lightweight stroller this model sports rear suspension and 6.5 inch wheels, which allows for a relatively smooth ride in the urban jungle. Driving the stroller was a joy for all reviewers but one, who felt that the lack of any real suspension made for a bumpy ride for her son.

weather protection
positive reviews
B+

With an oversized canopy which includes a viewing window and a removable back panel for extra ventilation, as well as a plastic rain cover, most parents were pleased with the weather protection provided, although some parents felt the sun visor wasn't as effective as they would have like--especially when the seat was reclined. One parent complained of leaking through the viewing window (perhaps remedied by using the rain cover).
