Distributed in the USA by Simo, and built in Australia in partnership with the ICG (In Good Care) corporation, Bertini is definitely a higher-end name brand designer of strollers. Bertini advertises itself as a company determined to produce the highest quality strollers via a strategic focus on research and development. They are distributed internationally as well, in the UK and all over Europe.
read moreIn general, Bertini is best known for designing the most “steerable” strollers on the market. As a company, Bertini boasts their steering design as the “only true advance in pram design for the last 65 years.” Bertini’s claims are supported by the international award winning Steerable Collection—the only collection currently sold in the USA. As Bertini’s most popular stroller, the M5 consistently receives extremely high acclaim from nearly 100% of reviewers for its durability, comfort, and of course, extremely easy steering. Other popular models include the Bertini Sport and Shuttle, also very well-received by owners. All American Bertini strollers are designed with four air-filled wheels, and are all, full strollers (in other words, no lightweight umbrellas). Bertini does sell a cute little lightweight model in Australia known as the “Mio.”
Although the price tags on most of Bertini’s strollers are usually somewhere over the $200 mark, they remain quite competitive with other full-sized higher-end strollers, and retain a good deal of their resale value, although they are a bit difficult to find second-hand because they sell like hotcakes. Also, every Bertini stroller sold in the USA is suitable from birth to toddler-hood, effectively giving Bertini strollers the potential to be the magical: “only stroller you ever have to buy.” Then again, Bertini strollers aren’t that lightweight, so for the parents out in suburbia—the practical lightweight stroller may still have to factor into the stroller equation.
