Chicco is an Italian-based company with wide-spread distribution throughout the USA, UK, and Europe. Chicco produces what would best be called mid-quality strollers as well as high-chairs, and children’s toys. The self-expressed mission of the Chicco label is “to be the brand which best meets the needs of babies around the world.”
read moreIn terms of strollers within the USA, Chicco’s most popular model is unquestionably the Chicco Caddy Light: an extremely affordable and functional little umbrella stroller, which many parents have been quite satisfied with. Other popular stroller models by Chicco include: the Chicco Ponee and Chicco’s Umbrella Stroller, both of which, are reviewed with less enthusiasm than the Chicco Caddy. Although they do sell more “luxurious” strollers, Chicco’s most popular strollers are all under the $100 mark. In terms of their more popular models, Chicco strollers are not ultra-reliable, with about a 15% chance of some sort of breakdown based on their current track record.
The rule of thumb with Chicco strollers: you’ll like the price at the cash register, but you’ll definitely have to purchase another stroller at some point (before or after you buy a Chicco). When or if you have a breakdown, Chicco’s customer service is limited by the distributor you have purchased the stroller from, as their corporate logo is highly dependent on the advertising and good graces of their many distributors—as you can see when you visit their virtually non-existent website.
