Inglesina strollers: pretty Italian, pretty pricey

As yet another Italian stroller manufacturer, the Inglesina brand is advertised to attract the higher-end shopper. Inglesina sells primarily in Italy and America, with widespread distribution throughout the states. The family-owned Inglesina name is advertised as a company most concerned with the needs of babies and their mothers.

Although Inglesina is one of the leading distributors of pram-style strollers in the USA, the Inglesina Zippy model is quite easily Inglesina’s most popular stroller, with its acclaimed one-handed folding numerous convenience and comfort features, a relatively lightweight frame, and a fairly hefty price-tag (around $240!). Surprisingly, reviews for the Zippy are quite mixed—perhaps because parents expected more from the reputation of Inglesina and for the price they paid. Another popular model is the Inglesina Swift, which receives somewhat better reviews for its convenient light easy-to-use but sometimes less-than-durable build—and much smaller price tag.

Essentially, Inglesina is a respected stroller company that tailored to the upper-class family, although the performance and features of some of Inglesina’s strollers are less than stellar. In terms of customer support in the USA, Inglesina performs far below the expected standard for a higher end company—especially for the prices they sell their strollers at.
