COMFORT TOTAL GRADE: A-
seating
positive reviewsB+
Compared to the Maclaren Volo (which is what everyone does as they are remarkably similar), the seating on the Micro is quite plush as it actually has seat padding. Furthermore, most parents appreciated the adjustable sun canopy as a feature, although they also noted it really was only somewhat effective at keeping the sun off of their little passenger's delicate skin and eyes. Most parents also noted the lack of a recline and missed the added security provided by a belly bar. Finally, all of the reviewers reported that their kids seemed quite comfortable in the seat, although a small percentage of parents felt the slung-seat style made their kids slump a bit.
driver comfort
positive reviewsA+
Despite the lack of a cup holder, the Micro received unanimously positive reports for the design and angle of the handles, which both tall and short parents felt comfortable pushing.
smoothness of ride
positive reviewsA+
Parents couldn't say enough good things about the large 6 inch wheels on the Micro, which reportedly allow it to handle sidewalk cracks, streetcar tracks, cobblestone, and even snow, with surprising efficacy for an umbrella stroller of it's weight and make.
weather protection
positive reviewsB
Despite the best effort of Silver Cross to up Maclaren's Volo by adding an adjustable sun canopy, most parents still noted that the canopy really was a little too short and too high to effectively protect their little passengers from more than overhead sunlight. They also sell a decent little rain cover separately.
