Silver Cross Mini

CHILD SAFETY TOTAL GRADE: B+

harness system
positive reviews
A-

Overall, parents were positive about the five-point harness system on the Mini, although a few parents noted that the center strap doesn't adjust tight enough for petite children-- but the waist strap can be tightened enough to alleviate the worry that they'll somehow manage to wiggle free.

maneuvering
positive reviews
A-

The majority of reviews were very positive about how easy the Mini maneuvered tight corners and bumpy sidewalks, as well as the ease of using the brakes. Still there was a single report of problems with steering the Mini after the child hit 20 pounds.

sturdiness
positive reviews
B

Although a large majority of reviewers were pleased with the overall durability and performance of the Mini, there were a few key complaints worth noting: one parent reported a problem with the hood warping (which was replaced by the company at no extra cost) after which point a nut on the canopy fell out, another mother was displeased to report that after four months of use, the harness-system broke, screws came out of the frame in two different locations, and the extra-cost raingear tore after the first use. Finally, as noted above, there was a single report of the steering becoming increasingly difficult once the child reached 20 pounds.
