COMFORT TOTAL GRADE: A-
seating
positive reviewsA
With multi-positional recline options, the Mini, delivers a level of comfort not often seen on such lightweight strollers. Although most parents were unanimously positive about the overall comfort provided on the padded and reclining seat and the ease-to-use single strap recline mechanism, a few parents noted that not only does the seat not recline flat (making it unsuitable for infants), but when in its most upright position, the Mini seat seems a bit slouchy for their little passengers.
driver comfort
positive reviewsA
Reviewers were unanimously positive about the comfortable angle and height of the handles on the Mini, despite the lack of a cup holder. Parents also appreciated the easy-to-access parent pocket on the back seat.
smoothness of ride
positive reviewsA
The Silver Cross Mini is built with unusually large 6 inch wheels (relative to other strollers in its class such as the Volo with 4.5 inch wheels), that parents reported were quite able to effectively handle more rugged sidewalks and curbs.
weather protection
positive reviewsB+
Although most parents appreciated the feature concept of an adjustable removable sun canopy on such a lightweight stroller, they also tended to note that the sun coverage was only average for an umbrella stroller. For those parents living in rainy climates, a rain cover can be purchased separately.
