The classic standard stroller was a pram--big and heavy and designed for slow ambling walks on paved city park paths. Not anymore! Between the urban jungle and the suburban sandbox, the heavy pram is a relic of the past. Nowadays, a standard stroller must either perform as an all-terrain stroller or be so light, compact, and convenient that it is virtually indistinguishable from an umbrella stroller. It's not unreasonable to expect a variety of added accessories including: a bassinet, cup holders, winter boots, infant carrier accommodations, and plenty of storage space.
