CHILD SAFETY TOTAL GRADE: A-
harness system
positive reviewsA
Parents were unanimously positive about the five-point harness on the Double Trouble, although one mother noted that the straps were adjusted to their tightest position were still a bit loose for a stroller sold as suitable for infants.
maneuvering
positive reviewsA-
The Double Trouble is designed as an outdoor double stroller that sells itself as one of the narrowest jogging strollers on the market (30 inches wide) and can fit through most standard doors. Despite this convenient feature, you will not want to be taking the Double Trouble in public areas as it still handles like a standard jogging stroller, which means you'll have to "pop a wheelie" to turn corners. This fact alone was a complaint for parents, who simultaneously appreciated the narrowness of the frame. On the other hand, the Double Trouble does manage to be remarkably balanced and steers very straight, even with just one kid in the seat.
sturdiness
positive reviewsB+
Although 98% of parents reported no incidents of breakdowns in the Double Trouble's aluminum frame as well as feeling that this double jogging stroller was quite sturdy, there were a few serious runners who noted that the frame felt flimsy when handling bumps. In addition, one father reported the fact that after six months a central frame component fell off and since then one of the rear wheel axle components came loose: effectively impeding the free movement of the wheel.
