Tike Tech Double Trouble

COMFORT TOTAL GRADE: B+

In general, parents reviewed the individual reclining seats as quite comfortable for their little passengers, although there a small but notable percentage complaining about the fact they felt the seats were too reclined even in their most upright setting. In addition, the canopy drops quite a bit near the back of the stroller, leading a few parents to note that the stroller isn't suitable for taller children who will hit their heads on the canopy. On the plus side, parents and kids unanimously appreciated the bar running across the front of the stroller for the kids to hold on to. Additionally, some parents really liked the footrest, although one dad noted that his daughter's legs were already extending past the footrest.

The basic story: tall parents like the Double Trouble jogging stroller, short parents not so much. Some of the more petite moms with the Double Trouble noted that the handlebars were actually too high for them, making pushing rather difficult. Also, if you purchase a 2004 model, the handlebars are adjustable, whereas the 2005 model has switched back to a static model as a result of customer complaints about the adjustable handlebar feeling flimsy.

As a jogging stroller, the Double Trouble delivers where it's most important. Parents had nothing but good things to say about this double jogging stroller's ability to handle whatever road challenges it encountered: from gravel to ice.

weather protection
positive reviews
B+

Tike Tech actually includes an all-weather cover in the cost of purchasing the Double Trouble, which parents unanimously appreciated as both effective against the rain and a nice extra. One mom noted that although the rain canopy works, it doesn't fold up so nicely on the top of the regular sun canopy (bunched up and bulky looking-- and is better to just remove it altogether). In addition, another mother felt that the sun canopy was completely ineffective at protecting her children from the sun (unless the sun was behind the stroller). Despite this one negative report, most parents felt that the canopy was quite good at keeping their children protected from the elements.
