Valco Twin Runabout

CHILD SAFETY TOTAL GRADE: B+

Every reviewer felt that their child was securely and comfortably fastened into the Valco's five-point stroller harness system; although one mom claimed that she sometimes got her fingers pinched when strapping her children in.

"Steers like a dream," "Turns on a dime", "One-handed steering--even with the toddler seat included". Just a few of the repeat phrases parents used to describe how the Valco Twin Runabout handled. Needless to say, despite the fact that there is definitely an adjustment period when going from a single stroller to a double, the Twin Runabout fits through all standard doors, and the only peep of a complaint was that the frame is a bit longer than the Mountain Buggy Urban Double.

sturdiness
positive reviews
B-

Although the large majority of parents are quite happy with the Twin Runabout's sturdiness and long-term durability and have no complaints, there are a few reports of durability issues including: 1) multiple reports of the front wheel not staying on (sometimes when first assembled), 2) a few reports that--with extended use, steering became more difficult as the stroller no longer tracked straight, 3) a few reports of the wheels clicking and squeaking, 4) one report of the canopy coming off and 5) one report of the fabric fasteners breaking away from the seat.
